Appointment of the Book Review Editor for Surveillance & Society

Surveillance Studies Network and Surveillance & Society are proud to announce Gary Kafer as the new Book Review Editor for Surveillance & Society.

Gary Kafer is Assistant Professor of Culture and Technology in the Department of Literature at American University. A digital media scholar, Gary examines the politics of data-based computation used in surveillance technologies with broader interests in biopolitics, the environment, and state violence. He is a co-editor of a previous special issue of S&S on “Queer Surveillance” (2019).
